Wyoming Rising Is Here: Building the Next Generation of Wyoming Leaders
There’s a quiet truth about Wyoming: some of the most talented, driven, and capable young people in the country grow up here.
But too often, they leave—and never come back.
Not because they want to, but because they don’t feel connected to opportunity, to each other, or to a broader vision of what their future in Wyoming could look like.
That’s why Wyoming Rising exists.
Wyoming Rising is a first-of-its-kind statewide program that brings together ten of Wyoming’s top rising high school seniors for an intensive summer experience built around two things: elite AAU basketball competition and intentional leadership development.
For three weeks, these student-athletes will live, train, compete, and grow together. They’ll practice twice a day. They’ll travel to high-level tournaments in places like Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Denver. They’ll compete against top talent from across the country.
But what makes Wyoming Rising different is everything that happens off the court.
Participants will engage with leaders from across Wyoming—business executives, coaches, public servants, and community builders—who will challenge them to think bigger about their future. They’ll build relationships that stretch across towns, schools, and backgrounds. They’ll participate in service, leadership training, and real conversations about what it means to lead in Wyoming.
This is about more than basketball.
It’s about building a network of young leaders who know each other, support each other, and stay connected to Wyoming long after high school ends.
It’s about telling the story of Wyoming basketball—and the people behind it—in a way that hasn’t been done before. Through social media, storytelling, and behind-the-scenes content, Wyoming Rising will give the state a front-row seat to the journey.
And it’s about creating something lasting.
A pipeline. A network. A reason to stay connected.
Wyoming Rising is just getting started—but the vision is clear:
Find the best. Develop them. Connect them. And help them carry Wyoming forward.
